World Music series books for children

There are three new exiting music book series for children that have arrived at Union City library recently. One is entitled The World of Music. The World of Music series contains six different books; each one covers a continents or region of the world: Africa; Europe; Eastern Asia; Western Asia; Latin America and the Caribbean; and Australia, Hawaii, & the Pacific. Each book contains information on the variety of instruments, ensembles, traditional and pop music as well as the famous musician from each country in the region. The World of Music series is a great introduction for children to the various music and cultures that exist throughout the world.

Pioneer Elementary School students who check out materials at the Union City Library and take their printed receipt in to the school Media Center will have their names put on the PIONEER READING WALL OF FAME!

Paula Figdor, Pioneer Library Media Teacher, came up with this great idea to encourage families to visit the public Library. And as an added bonus, Pioneer students can come to the Reference Desk at the Union City Library and receive a specially designed “Super Star Reader” bookmark!
