The sixth annual 10K On the Bay is scheduled on Saturday, August 29this year. This 5K/10K benefit run is hosted by the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center, part of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District. It is designed to raise money for the educational programs of the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center to help them continue to promote environmental and health awareness. The goal of the Interpretive Center is to foster the connection between people and the San Francisco Bay-Estuary by providing environmental education and recreation programs. These naturalist-led programs are for visitors of all ages from seaweed to storytelling and birdwatching to bugs.
If you would like to have a morning of running or walking along the San Francisco Bay Trail to benefit the programs, you don’t want to miss this meaningful event. Raffle drawing, vendor booths, and fun give-aways are all here waiting for you.
