Chinese New Year Celebration 2010

Union City Library is going to have its third annual Chinese New Year Celebration which is scheduled on Saturday, 2/27 this year.   At one o’clock in the afternoon, many booths will be set up in the meeting room for you to learn the Chinese cultures, play some Chinese Games, and taste the Chinese snacks.  Starting at two o’clock, there will be various performances in the library, such as: Lion Dance, Chinese instruments (Er-Hu and Zheng), folk dances, the famous Chinese magic show – BianLian (changing the faces) to name a few.  This is a very popular and well attend program we have.

Thanks shall go to the Friends of the Union City Library and the local Marina Supermarket.  Without their funding and the generous donations, this program could not be possible.

If you want to have some fun, and explore the richness of the Chinese culture, this is a must see program.  Bring your whole family and come to celebrate the Chinese New Year with us!
