This is the theme for Doodle 4 Google this year. You might ask what is Doodle 4 Google? Well, Doodle 4 Google is an art competition that Google invites all K-12 students to work their artistic will upon Google’s homepage logo. If you are one of the finalist doodles, your artwork will be featured on Google’s homepage starting on May 27, 2010.
This year, a group of well-known illustrators, cartoonists and animators from organizations like The Sesame Street Workshop, Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates and Peanuts and Pixar Animation Studios will be helping select the 40 finalist doodles as well as attending Google’s awards ceremony to personally meet the winners. So gather those art supplies and some 8.5″ x 11″ paper and start doodling. Your artwork might be one of the winning doodles that will be post up for the whole wide world to see.
Registration closes at 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time (PT) on March 17, 2010, and entries are due by March 31, 2010 no later than 11:59:59 P.M. Pacific Time (PT).
