New Basic Computer Classes at the Library

Do you know someone who needs to learn how to use the Computer?  Union City Library is going to have a series of eight basic Computer classes presented by an experienced volunteer  instructor, Francis Reyes in the months of October, November, and December.  These classes are scheduled on Sundays  from 4 to 6 pm with the  first hour as instruction lecture in the Meeting room, and the second hour the hands-on lab in the library.  Following are the topics covered in each session:

Oct. 3  – Computer Basics #1 (Mouse/Keyboard/Windows)

Oct. 17 – Computer Basics #2 (File Management)

Oct. 24 – Microsoft Word #1 (Create a New Document/Formatting)

Oct. 31 – Microsoft Word #2 (Create a Flyer)

Nov. 7 – Microsoft Excel #1 (Create a Table/Using Formulas)

Nov. 21 – Microsoft Excel#2 (Text Formatting)

Nov. 28 – Internet & Emailing

Dec. 12 – Social Networking On the Net (Facebook/Safety/Privacy)

Space is limited due to available computers in the Lab.  Call 745-1464 Ext. 7 or come to the Information Desk to sign up.  Sign up starts on 9/20.  You may sign up for all or just one of the classes.
