What on earth is READING BUDDIES? It’s a new program at the Union City Library to have fun and practice reading.
Are you going into Kindergarten in the fall? Interested in working on your reading skills? We’re here for you! Middle and High School volunteers are waiting for children entering Kindergarten through sixth grade to pair up and read together.
Mondays and Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. sign up for a half-hour or hour of sharing and reading with an older buddy. Call the Library 745-1464 ext. 7 or come in any time the Library is open to get more information and sign up! The program runs through August 13 so you have plenty of time to join, have fun, meet people, and improve your reading. And you can play the Summer Reading Game, ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES, at the same time!
