Fix your broken stuff!!
Bring your broken electronic , small appliances, computer, toy, etc.
for assessment, disassemble , and possible repair. Bring and fix your broken small electronics, appliances, bikes, and toys (or at least learn more about them) with the help of fixit coaches. A textile/clothing coach will also be available. We provide the workspace, tools, and coaches. This is an all-age do-it-together (D.I.T) repair event.
HOW: Register at….
– Bring your broken item (carry-in only: no oversize items)
– Bring parts and tools that might be helpful (e.g. sewing supplies)
– Come ready to describe what’s wrong and what you’ve tried
– Come ready to learn and to share what you already know with others
WHO: All ages welcome: a family-friendly event: accompanied children are heartily invited!
WHY: To make friends, learn and teach how to fix things, and have fun!

We also need coaches! Jacks & Jills of all trades, tinkerers, and sewers are invited to become fixit coaches; all you need is curiosity and a willingness to encourage & help others open up their broken stuff and try to fix it. The library has tools, sewing machines and supplies.
