Join us on Saturday, September 23rd, 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM, for a Seed Saving Workshop presented by Master Gardener, Irene Beebe!
As summer is coming to an end, it’s time to move your gardening to the next level by saving the seeds of your bounty for next year! Learn about the importance of saving seeds, which seeds are the easiest to save, and techniques for collecting, processing, and storing seeds. We’ll demonstrate how to save seeds from beans, lettuce, and tomatoes, and you’ll receive detailed instructions and resources to further your seed-saving adventures. This free program is for gardeners of all levels! No registration required.
Ms. Beebe has been an Alameda County Master Gardener since 2014, volunteering at the Quarry Lakes and Lakeside demonstration gardens, answering questions at the Help Desk, and doing outreach through the speakers’ bureau. She also has a certificate in Landscape Horticulture from Merritt College.
