Write Your Story…Publishing, A Writer’s Memoir

publishingPublishing is a memoir that follows a writer’s journey from aspiring novelist to established author. Gail Godwin was once a little girl who dreamed of following in her mother’s footsteps and is now considered one of the best contemporary fiction writers. She has written fourteen novels, two story collections, two non-fiction books, and now one memoir. While Godwin captures some of the history of American publishing through her own perspective, she acknowledges that her viewpoint is very personal. Publishing is about one writer’s hunger to enter the world of publishing, and her experience once she was in it. This book includes beautiful illustrations by artist Frances Halsband.
